I do not have enough positive words in my vocabulary to express how skilled and effective Lauren is! After hearing her recommended by multiple people, I finally reached out, about 12 months after losing my mom, and 8 months after losing my dad. Working with her has been the best thing I have done in my year of deep grieving. In the year before meeting Lauren I had already tried three different therapists from Betterhelp and a grief counselor assigned to me by my mother’s hospice organization. I only found them to be encouraging, and was getting frustrated that they didn’t seem able to hold my hand and dive deeper into memories and emotions to actually work on processing and understanding. I wanted to truly dig in my grief and develop tools to really carry grief with grace, not just validation that it’s hard and reassurance that it will get better. Lauren will drag you with utmost gentleness into the thick and sticky places of your grief. She asks questions that keep me honest, and makes me sit with my answers, often until I can then feel the associated emotions wash over me. I had never cried in any session with my prior counselors, and I bring tears to the table every time with Lauren. I don’t just tell what happened, I get to actually feel it, because she’s so safe and so present. Sometimes, Lauren even cries with me – sometimes feeling my pain, sometimes full of joy at my progress and positive realizations. Ninety percent soft and nurturing energy, and ten percent hell yeah energy, she lifts me up and even makes me laugh. She’s one of the most present and authentic people I have ever talked to and I wish every grieving person on Earth could be so lucky to find such a guiding light in their dark hours.

Lauren has a way of making you feel heard, seen and truly understood regardless of what you might be working through. I have been blessed to be a client of Lauren’s at a time in my life where I really needed a safe and non-judgmental space to allow my deeper feelings to come to the surface. Her powerful questions allowed me to look at my experiences in a completely new light and uncover answers that I did not know I had within me. Lauren has a gift of feeling like a close friend, while remaining the highly trained professional that she is. I have moved through some challenging experiences with her by my side and I am a better version of me because of that.
